With roughly five months to go until E3 2014 opens on June 10th, details are already starting to surface on what to expect from this years’ event!
Microsoft’s Phil Spencer today divulged some small details in response to questions posed to him on Twitter.
When asked whether there will be any more Xbox exclusives announced this year, and when the next event to show off Xbox One games would be, Spencer replied:
“We will have announces in 2014, already working on the plan. I want to have a great E3 this year.”
Additionally, he was asked if the release dates for the next Halo game, Quantum Break and Sunset Overdrive would be revealed at E3 2014, he said:
“Most of those will be clear to fans by the end of our E3 briefing.”.
There are two main things to take from this. Firstly, whilst Spencer does not directly say that there will be Xbox-exclusive announcements at E3 this year, the wording certainly implies that. Secondly, only one of the three games mentioned in the second question currently has no release date given, Quantum Break, with the other two currently on track for a 2014 release. It would, therefore, be a wise assumption that Spencer is talking about Halo and Sunset Overdrive when he says “Most of those”.
Amongst all the speculation, one thing is clear, E3 2014 is going to be one of the biggest in years and is certainly not one to ignore!
What do you think of Spencer’s responses? Let us know!
