Halo Weekly Update 1/30/14

It’s nearly Super Bowl weekend, and the world of Halo is getting in on the action!

Matchmaking Updates

This Friday (31st) will see the return of the Turkey Bowl playlist from Thanksgiving weekend, under the new name of Spartan Bowl! From Friday, January 31st through Sunday, February 2nd, Spartan Bowl will be available to enjoy in Halo 4 War Games. This touchdowns-only version of Ricochet will feature a new and improved version of “Stadium” as well as new exclusive colours to reflect the Super Bowl teams.

Coming in Monday 3rd’s matchmaking update is a brand new featured playlist – Heavies! This new playlist stays true to its name by offering 6v6 infantry and vehicular warfare on a variety of maps (including some from the Crimson & Majestic Map Packs) in Slayer and Objective gametypes. Players can expect to come across a selection of heavy weapons and vehicles including¬†Mantises, Scorpions, Wraiths!

To also arrive on Monday was the victor of last week’s Community Choice poll – SWAT CTF, a no-shields spin on the CTF gametype we’re all used to. Keep your head down when taking that flag home!

Season 2 of Top 200 has begun, and the post for Week 1 can be found here. The Weekly Challenges for this week can be found here.

Halo: Spartan Assault – Xbox 360 Version
