Halo Weekly Update 2/13/14

Valentine’s Day is tomorrow, and the Halo team have got you set with some community-created eValentine cards, as well as some new gametypes coming to matchmaking on Monday!

Matchmaking Updates

The first thing to arrive in Monday 17th’s update is Big Rumble, a 12-player FFA playlist that will be available on big maps, including all the maps from the Crimson and Castle Map Packs. The playlist will feature the following game types:

  • Infinity Slayer
  • Slayer Pro
  • Regicide
  • King of the Hill
  • Oddball
  • Quick Draw

If you were vigilant enough, you may have noticed the game type at the bottom of that list was Quick Draw, which was the winner of last week’s Community Choice poll. For those who don’t know, Quick Draw has players equipped with Magnums, Frag Grenades and the Dexterity Support Upgrade.

Big Rumble will be the “featured playlist” for two weeks and thus will be available until March 3rd!

Finally, the update will also tweak the Join-In-Progress parameters in several playlists for a more optimal experience, thanks to community feedback.

Finally, be sure to check out the Halo Bulletin for this week, which features some community-made eValentine cards, a Valentine themed Screenshot Spotlight, and a recap of last weekend’s Gamers for Giving event!

That’s all for this week, let us know what you think of Big Rumble when it releases on Monday!
