Warner Bros. Interactive have released the launch trailer for Mortal Kombat X. Directed by System of a Down’s Shavo Odadjian, the trailer showcases multiple snippets of MKXs cinematic story mode and brutal gameplay that syncs up with the band’s hit song ‘Chop Suey’
Continuing with its 2.5-dimensional style, MKX follows the events of Mortal Kombat (2011) and spans out to 25 years, bringing back classic fighters, and new characters including the offspring of previous fighters, like Cassie Cage, the daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade.
Mortal Kombat X releases in just over a week on April 14th, on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. With the previous-gen versions delayed to June 2nd. Alongside its console release will be an iOS and Android game, similar to Injustice: Gods Among Us, where you can unlock special character skins between mobile and console.
