Console load times are somewhat of a joke to PC Master Race believers. After all, it’s no secret that console games have a long way to go in that regard. Well, Microsoft is looking to start bridging that gap the the announcement of the Xbox One Elite.
The Xbox One Elite will be the first and only console with a built in 1TB solid state hybrid drive (SSHD). So what does this mean? Basically it means that the SSHD will have a flash memory partition where it will store the files that usually take longest to load (OS, Xbox 360 games, etc).
That’s not all, though! The Xbox One Elite Bundle also comes with the highly coveted –by me anyway– Xbox One Elite Controller, allowing you to remap all of your buttons, map buttons to the exclusive magnetic tabs on the backside, and even lock your triggers so they function on a hair trigger pull.
The Xbox One Elite Bundle retails for $499 and is scheduled for release on October 20, 2015. For more information, check out the announcement on Xbox.com!
