Going by the setting, you might think that Sky Fortress is a sequel to Bioshock Infinite, or possibly an Avengers video game. Focusing around a giant airship/aircraft carrier, the Air in Just Cause 3‘s Air, Land, and Sea expansion pass is set to drop (but not to the ground) this March.
The first expansion in the over-the-top (of the clouds) Just Cause 3 will give Rico Rodriguez some fancy new tools like a rocket-powered, weapon-laden “Bavariam Wingsuit”, upgradable of course. Rico can use the suit to take out Sky Fortress’ variety of robotic drone enemies, and then take it back into the main game and use his new found ability of flight a bit closer to the ground.
Reilly Brennan, PR rep at Square Enix, promises that the wingsuit “will fundamentally alter the core gameplay of Just Cause 3” and looks forward to all the crazy things players will do with it.
Sky Fortress will launch March 2016, and gamers on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC who own the Air, Land, and Sea expansion pass will get to play it a week before everyone else. The expansion also contains Land Mech Assault and Bavarium Sea Heist, both of which will be out by the end of Summer 2016. Players can get Sky Fortress for $11.99 / €11.99 / £9.49, and Air, Land, and Sea for $24.99 / €24.99 / £19.99.
